So, settle in… Let’s step into this month’s world of style, beauty, and a hint of French romance!
Most-Loved Items of the Month
Every month, I look at the pieces you loved, clicked, saved, and asked about the most. November leaned into warm winter tones, elevated staples, and accessories that add a soft touch of shine. These 3 stood out for how wearable they are, how effortlessly they style, and how beautifully they fit into a thoughtful fall & winter wardrobe!
Quince Italian Wool Classic Single Breasted Coat in Brown - Wearing size M
Our most loved piece of the month. This coat is tailored, warm, and quietly elegant. The brown tone adds richness to winter dressing, and the clean structure layers perfectly over knits, dresses, or denim. It feels timeless, polished, and easy to wear in so many ways. A forever coat for winter that looks elevated without effort.

By Anthropologie Belted Satchel Purse
A rich suede bag that adds depth and texture to any look. I spotted it on my last trip to Anthropologie and instantly knew I had to have it. The dark chocolate hue and timeless shape make it the perfect size and style to carry all fall and winter long. I love the blend of color and texture, and the quality feels impressive for the price point, a piece I know I’ll reach for season after season!Quince Cotton Cashmere Ribbed Long Sleeve Midi Dress in Brown - Wearing size S
A winter essential that requires little styling to feel complete. The rib texture creates shape while remaining comfortable, soft, and relaxed. You can wear it with tall boots for dinner, loafers for everyday, or sneakers for a casual outing. It moves well through your week and offers a feminine silhouette without feeling overdone. The kind of dress you reach for again and again.

November’s Amour: Kayla Janes
This month’s Amour is Kayla Janes, a fine artist whose work captures feeling, light, and memory in soft, expressive color. Her paintings and ceramic pieces carry the ease of summer beach days, tide pools turning with light, and quiet moments where time slows.
You do not simply view her work, you step into it. You feel transported, held inside the scene, fully present in the moment.
A graduate of LCAD, Kayla has built a beautiful presence in Laguna Beach, where her art feels deeply connected to coastline and summer atmosphere. Her palette of sea greens, warm sand, sunlit blues, and soft neutrals feels natural and immersive, like swimming through a memory. My home is slowly filling with her work and ceramics, each piece alive with feeling, depth, and movement.
If you find yourself in Orange County, you can see her work at Casa CDM, or meet her in person at her Sawdust booth during the holidays and summer season. Experiencing her art in real life feels like standing at the edge of the water at golden hour. Quiet, reflective, mesmerizing in the softest way.
Beyond her craft, Kayla creates with presence and emotional intention. You can sense her touch in every brush stroke, every curve of clay, every layered wash of color. Her pieces linger in the mind like a warm place you return to again and again. Sunlit, grounded, soulful.
Why We Love Kayla
She paints summer, travel, and emotion with quiet beauty
She brings ocean light and coastal calm into everyday spaces
Her work feels timeless, sun soaked, earthy, deeply lived in
She inspires creativity through softness, reflection, and presence
Kayla reminds us that art and style are both intentional. Color chosen as feeling, fabric layered like brush strokes, presence reflected in the way we dress. She often turns to Maéva for quiet, refined inspiration, and she cannot wait to style festive holiday looks through her own soft, artistic lens this season. You can explore more of her world on Instagram and let her work carry you into slow, warm beauty.

Styling Tips: Effortless Dressing for December Festivities
As the light softens and the season shifts into celebration, dressing becomes about warmth, richness, and a touch of holiday sparkle. These notes will help guide your December wardrobe with ease, whether you are heading to dinner with friends, wrapping gifts by the tree, or stepping into a festive evening out.
Layer with Intention: Fine knits stay at the base, wool coats move to the forefront. Try cashmere or merino under tailored outerwear, or pair a simple turtleneck with a long structured coat for warmth without heaviness. Evening plans ahead? Add a silky cami beneath for a quick day to night switch.
Elevate the Palette: December invites deeper color. Reach for red, forest green, burgundy, warm brown, soft cream, and winter white. These tones feel seasonal without being loud, especially when paired with gold or champagne accents for subtle shine.
Invite Sparkle and Shine: A sequin skirt with a knit. A satin cami under a blazer. A crystal hair clip or gold hoop catching holiday light. Sparkle becomes a detail, not the whole story. Let it accent the outfit rather than overpower it.
Textures That Feel Like Winter: Think plush and polished. Cashmere, velvet, wool, ribbed knits, leather, suede, silk. When paired thoughtfully, texture creates visual depth and seasonal mood without needing many pieces.
Refine the Silhouettes: Clean lines keep festive outfits feeling elevated. If you love dresses for gatherings, balance softness with structure. A knit dress paired with a long coat. A satin skirt with a fitted sweater. A tailored trouser with a sheer blouse. Simple, timeless, quietly festive.
A Holiday Outfit Formula to Try: A fine knit sweater with a wool coat, paired with rich-tone trousers or a satin skirt, and finished with gold jewelry for a soft, festive glow.
Looking Ahead: December in Focus, Festive Textures and Winter Warmth
As we step into December, the season turns inward. Days feel softer, evenings sparkle a little more, and getting dressed becomes about warmth, celebration, and atmosphere. It is a month of gatherings, glowing lights, holiday rituals, and outfits that carry both comfort and beauty.
Expect refined layers, luxe textures, and seasonal tones that feel rich and nostalgic. Think wool coats and cashmere sweaters, satin skirts with soft knits, velvet touches, gold accents, and a palette that balances warmth and brightness. Deep burgundy, forest green, rich brown, winter white, and classic red bring quiet festivity to even the simplest looks.
What to expect in December:
Cozy layering formulas for both casual days and evening events
Knit dresses, wool coats, and polished outerwear for warmth and ease
A festive winter palette of red, green, chocolate brown, ivory, and soft gold
Textures that feel luxurious and lived in, like velvet, cashmere, silk, and mohair
Holiday outfit ideas for gatherings, dinners, and end of year celebrations
Thoughtful wardrobe building with pieces that transition into the new year
Whether you are wrapping gifts at home, heading into a holiday party, or sharing a long dinner with friends, December invites dressing with softness, sparkle, and intention!
