Soft Mornings in White & Denim: The Outfit I’ll Never Stop Wearing
This is one of those outfits I come back to again and again no matter the season, but especially in spring and summer! It’s easy, timeless, and always makes me feel pulled together with very little effort!
The combination of a white top and denim might sound simple, but for me, it’s the foundation of so many outfits I love. Add in raffia textures, rich brown leather, and soft gold jewelry and suddenly it becomes something classic, romantic, and so French! The kind of look that feels right whether you’re heading to the farmers market, grabbing a croissant to-go, or sitting outside at your favorite café.
In this post, I’m sharing 3 ways I style this go-to look each one built from the same base, but styled just differently enough to feel fresh every time!
Why I Love This Look
It checks all my favorite boxes:
✔️ Feminine without being fussy
✔️ Relaxed, but still polished
✔️ Comfortable for everyday errands and outings
✔️ Universally flattering
I’ve always believed that style doesn’t have to be complicated and this look is the perfect example. A white cotton top with subtle detail (like ruffles, embroidery, or a pretty neckline) instantly elevates denim. And when paired with warm, natural-toned accessories like raffia bags and woven flats or leather sandals, it just works.
It’s the kind of outfit that quietly says put-together without needing to try too hard!
The Outfit Breakdown
The Tops:
Light, airy cotton. Whether it’s short sleeve, sleeveless, or a soft puffed shape, I gravitate toward white tops with delicate details: like scalloped edges, ties, or embroidery. They’re the kind of pieces that bring charm to an outfit without overwhelming it!
The Jeans:
My go-to: straight-leg, light-wash denim. Clean and easy. They balance the softness of the top and add that casual groundedness I love. This shape works with flats, sandals, or even a little heel if you're dressing it up.
The Accessories:
Raffia & straw totes: A warm-weather essential. Structured or slouchy, they add texture and give that effortless market-day feel.
Brown leather sandals or woven flats: I alternate depending on the mood, flats for a more refined touch, sandals when I want to keep it breezy.
Gold earrings: Just a little detail to catch the light. Pearls or simple hoops work perfectly.
Round golden sunglasses: Always.
How I Styled It
Though the pieces are nearly identical in spirit, each version plays with the balance slightly:
The sleeveless eyelet blouse adds a romantic, vintage-inspired softness. I styled it with classic sandals and a curved raffia tote for a breezy look perfect for warmer days.
The ruffled blouse and woven flats bring a slightly more playful, feminine energy. I imagine wearing this one to an outdoor bookstore or Sunday stroll.
The short sleeve embroidered top keeps it timeless and polished, paired with tan slides and a clean basket bag.
Each one is built around the same base, but small shifts like texture and neckline make a difference which is why I love this formula so much!
Where I'd Wear This Look
A morning market run
Café terrace with a friend
Exploring a new neighborhood
A casual meeting or creative workday
A relaxed weekend in the city or countryside
This is the kind of outfit that lets you move through your day feeling like you, just a little more refined.
Styling Notes
Let the top remain slightly untucked for that relaxed French touch
A low bun, loose waves, or a claw clip all pair beautifully
A touch of tinted lip balm and minimal makeup is more than enough
Consider tying a linen scarf to your bag handle to add personality

As I continue refining my capsule wardrobe, this is the outfit that stays at the heart of it: clean, soft, and full of pieces that I can rewear endlessly. When I want to feel calm, elegant, and put together, without overthinking anything, this look never fails!
