If you’re planning a trip to Paris (or just daydreaming about one), let’s talk about one of the best parts of the city: the food! Think charming cafés, romantic dinners, warm croissants, sparkling views, and maybe a little wine (or a lot, no judgment!).
This is my personal guide to where to eat, sip, and linger in Paris. Some of these spots I’ve tried and loved, others are on my list for next time, but all of them capture that little je ne sais quoi that makes Paris feel so special! Let’s dine!
A Few Favorites to Start With:
Fine Dining Moments:
Le Clarence
Everything about this place was chef’s kiss. Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Elegant, thoughtful, and absolutely worth dressing up for.Palais Royal Restaurant Paris
Still dreaming about this one. I went in the spring and sat inside, but in summer they set tables in the garden under twinkle lights. Romantic doesn’t even begin to cover it.Les Ombres
Dinner with a view? Yes please. You’re basically dining under the Eiffel Tower. The ambiance is next level, and the food lives up to the view.
Chic Café Stops:
Café Lapérouse Concorde
I came here for breakfast and immediately wanted to move in. Beautiful interior, great menu, and just a lovely way to start the day.Ladurée (Champs-Élysées)
Okay, I’ll say it — I’m more of a Pierre Hermé girl when it comes to macarons. But this location? Stunning. I sat down for a little breakfast moment and it felt like a movie.Le Fumoir
Right by the Louvre. I had tea in their cozy back library and instantly added it to my must-return-for-dinner list.
Bistro Gems:
Camille
A classic bistro moment. We had lunch here while wandering the neighborhood and it was so good. By the time we left, there was a line out the door. Go early if you can.La Maison Rose
This Montmartre favorite has been on my list for a while. I haven’t been just yet, but I’m hoping to stop by next time for a cozy lunch and that iconic view.Relais de l’Entrecôte
One of those classic Paris spots I’ve been meaning to try. It’s a no-menu situation — just steak, frites, and their secret sauce. Simple and iconic.
Dinner with a View:
Le Calife
This was such a highlight. A dinner cruise at sunset, floating past Paris landmarks with champagne in hand and the Eiffel Tower sparkling beside you. What more could you want?Francette
Food was delicious, but the real magic was heading upstairs after dinner for drinks right underneath the Eiffel Tower. The views? Unreal.Girafe Restaurant
I haven’t made it here yet, but it’s high on my list for next time. Chic, stylish, and that view? Absolutely breathtaking.
Sip-Worthy Bars:
Bar Hemingway
Tucked inside the Ritz, this place is tiny but iconic. The cocktails are amazing, and it feels like you’re stepping into a little piece of history.Bramble Bar
Cute, cozy, and yes the Eiffel Tower peeks through. Perfect for a late-night toast!

What to Wear in Paris: A Quick Note
Parisian style is thoughtful but never overdone. Whether you're heading to a café, a cozy bistro, or a special dinner with a view, you'll notice most people look effortlessly put-together.
For casual spots, jeans are totally fine, just pair them with something polished like a pretty blouse, a nice knit, or a structured coat. Comfortable shoes that still feel chic, like ballet flats or ankle boots, always work! You can find a capsule wardrobe inspo I recently put together here!
If you’re dining somewhere more elevated, like a Michelin restaurant, you’ll feel more at ease in a dress and heels or a blazer and trousers. It’s not about dressing up for others, but about honoring the moment and feeling your best!
A Few Tips Before You Go:
Make reservations if you can!
Dress like you care, but still feel like yourself!
Take your time, meals are meant to be savored!
Don’t be afraid to explore, you never know what you’ll stumble on walking around in Paris!
Dining in Paris is more than just a meal, it’s an experience! From charming cafés to once-in-a-lifetime dinners, every spot offers something special, and the way you dress, order, and slow down to enjoy it all becomes part of the memory.
I hope this guide helps you discover places you’ll fall in love with or inspires you to book that next trip. If you end up at any of these spots, I’d love to know!
Bon appétit and happy exploring!
With Amour,
M.
