18 European Clothing Brands With Elevated Wardrobe Staples
Elevated wardrobe pieces are at the heart of how I love to dress. I’ve always gravitated toward a more minimalist approach to style, but that doesn’t mean I want my wardrobe to feel boring. For me, it’s often the small details that make a piece interesting: an unexpected take on a classic top, an oversized silhouette, a beautiful texture or simply a really great cut.
Those are also the pieces I find can make a wardrobe feel the most personal. You can start with something incredibly simple, but an interesting proportion or detail can completely change the way an outfit feels and make even the most minimal look feel much more elevated.
Lately, I’ve been finding so many European brands doing exactly that, and with new collections beginning to arrive as we head into fall, it felt like the perfect time to bring some of my favorites together. For this edit, I’ve rounded up the European clothing brands currently catching my attention for elevated wardrobe staples, along with some of the new-season pieces I find especially interesting and would add to my own wardrobe.
If you’re looking for an exceptional button-down, With Nothing Underneath is a brand I highly recommend having on your radar. Founded in London in 2017 by former Vogue stylist and Tatler editor Pip Durell, the brand began with a search for the perfect women’s shirt, taking inspiration from classic menswear and British tailoring to create pieces that feel effortless, timeless and incredibly easy to wear.
I actually discovered WNU through one of my friends, who owns several of their shirts, and after trying a few of hers on, I completely understood the appeal. The Boyfriend in particular is exactly the kind of button-down I love: relaxed and slightly oversized, but still polished enough to become one of those pieces you can style a hundred different ways.
While the brand has since expanded into trousers, denim, knitwear and other wardrobe staples, the shirts are still what initially drew me in. The Boyfriend is next on my list when I’m ready to add another white button-down to my wardrobe.
Why I Love:
Classic shirting inspired by menswear and British tailoring.
Relaxed silhouettes that still feel polished.
The Boyfriend has that perfectly oversized, effortless look I love.
Timeless pieces designed to be worn well beyond a single season.
A great destination when you’re looking to invest in a really good button-down.
Best For: Button-down shirts, relaxed shirting, timeless wardrobe staples and anyone searching for that perfectly oversized white shirt.
2. Sézane
Sézane probably needs little introduction around here. If you’ve been following Maéva for a while, you’ll know it’s a brand I wear and feature often, and after owning several pieces over the years, it continues to be one of my favorite French brands for elevated wardrobe staples. While there are always plenty of beautiful seasonal pieces to discover, it’s the classics that I find myself coming back to most.
If there’s one piece I can personally recommend, it’s the Tomboy Shirt. It has that relaxed, effortless feel I love in a button-down and has become one of those easy wardrobe staples I can style in so many different ways. I also own several of Sézane’s knits, with the Betty Cardigan, Gaspard Cardigan and Barry Cardigan among my favorites. They’re exactly the kind of pieces I love having in my wardrobe: timeless enough to wear year after year, but with those little details that make even a simple jeans-and-knit combination feel more considered.
Outerwear is another category I think Sézane does particularly well. I own the Clyde Trench Coat and absolutely love it. The oversized silhouette gives a classic trench a more modern feel, which is exactly what I mean when I talk about finding elevated staples that make a minimalist wardrobe more interesting. If you’re looking for even more trench coat options from French brands, you might also like my edit featuring French brands with beautiful trench coats.
There’s also an exciting new chapter ahead for Sézane, with the brand teasing something coming on August 24th. I can’t wait to see what’s next, especially as we head into fall and some of my favorite Sézane wardrobe staples start coming back into rotation.
Why I Love:
Beautiful French wardrobe staples that are easy to wear and restyle.
The Tomboy Shirt is a great relaxed button-down.
Some of my most-worn knits, including the Betty, Gaspard and Barry Cardigans.
The Clyde Trench takes a classic wardrobe staple and gives it a more modern, oversized silhouette.
Consistently impressive quality across the pieces I own.
Best For: Button-down shirts, knitwear, trench coats and timeless French wardrobe staples that still feel interesting.
You may have already seen By Malene Birger featured in my edit of going-out tops, but the Danish brand has so much more to discover when it comes to elevated wardrobe staples. Founded in Copenhagen in 2003, the brand is rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, with a focus on refined fabrics, feminine details and silhouettes designed with longevity in mind.
What I particularly love about By Malene Birger is that its pieces have that little something extra I was talking about earlier. The foundation might be a classic wardrobe staple, but an interesting neckline, a draped silhouette, an oversized proportion or an unexpected detail gives it so much more personality. It’s minimalist dressing without feeling overly simple.
Beyond its more statement-making tops, I especially love the brand’s knitwear, trousers, tailoring and outerwear.
The collections have that beautiful balance of ease and polish that makes the pieces feel elevated on their own, while still being incredibly easy to mix into an everyday wardrobe.
Why I Love:
Scandinavian minimalism with a more distinctive point of view.
Classic wardrobe staples elevated through interesting shapes and subtle details.
Beautiful knitwear, tailoring and outerwear.
Pieces that feel sophisticated without feeling overly formal.
A great brand for making a minimalist wardrobe feel more personal.
Best For: Knitwear, tailoring, trousers, outerwear and elevated staples with a Scandinavian point of view.
4. Seliijan
You may have already seen Seliijan featured in some of my previous edits, including 18 French Clothing Brands With Beautiful Dresses, but there’s so much more to discover from the brand when it comes to elevated wardrobe staples. I love the way Seliijan approaches minimalism, creating pieces that feel simple and incredibly chic, but always with something that makes them feel a little more special.
Founded in Nice by Lison, Seliijan was inspired by her grandmother, Jeanine, and the sense of timeless French elegance she saw while looking back through old photographs of her. That idea of creating a wardrobe that can transcend generations is at the heart of the brand, with pieces designed to feel timeless, comfortable and wearable across different ages and body types.
It’s also a beautiful example of the elevated minimalism I was talking about earlier. The pieces don’t need to be overly complicated to make an impact.
Instead, it might be an interesting silhouette, a beautiful drape or an unexpected detail that takes something relatively simple and makes it feel incredibly chic.
Why I Love:
A chic French take on elevated minimalism.
Timeless silhouettes with subtle details that make them feel more interesting.
A beautiful story rooted in family, French style and the founder’s hometown of Nice.
An emphasis on natural and European fabrics.
Limited collections designed with longevity rather than trends in mind.
Best For: Dresses, tops, tailoring and understated French wardrobe staples that feel simple but never boring.
5. Figaret
Another name to know when it comes to the perfect button-down is Figaret, a favorite among Parisians and beyond for beautifully made shirts and timeless wardrobe classics. Founded in France in 1968, the brand has spent more than five decades perfecting its shirting, with an emphasis on French craftsmanship, precise cuts and exceptional fabrics.
What I love about Figaret is the variety within something as seemingly simple as a shirt. Different collars, proportions, fabrics and subtle design details give each style its own personality, while still maintaining that classic feel that makes a great button-down such an essential part of a wardrobe. You can also find the brand’s now-iconic “Je t’aime” shirt, embroidered with the phrase for a playful detail that gives the classic button-down a little more personality. It’s exactly the kind of subtle touch I love when it comes to making a wardrobe staple feel more personal and elevated.
While shirting remains at the heart of Figaret, the brand has expanded into a wider collection of ready-to-wear staples, making it another great destination for building out a timeless wardrobe. If a really good button-down is on your list, this is a French brand that has been perfecting the category for more than 50 years.
Why I Love:
More than five decades of expertise in French shirting.
An incredible variety of cuts, collars, fabrics and subtle details.
The iconic embroidered “Je t’aime” shirt adds a playful touch to a classic.
Classic pieces that still leave plenty of room for personal styling.
Beautiful French craftsmanship and attention to fit.
Best For: Button-down shirts, classic shirting and timeless French wardrobe staples with thoughtful details.
6. COS
COS has become one of my personal favorites for really good wardrobe staples, and if you’ve been following along for a while, you’ve probably seen me mention the Clean Cut T-Shirt more than once. It’s one of my favorite T-shirts and a perfect example of what COS does so well: taking an everyday essential and making it feel more elevated through the fabric, fit and cut.
Launched in London in 2007, COS has built its identity around lasting design, quality and a mix of contemporary and timeless pieces. That balance is really what draws me to the brand. You’ll find plenty of true wardrobe essentials, from T-shirts and trousers to knitwear, shirting and outerwear, but there’s often something slightly unexpected about the proportion, shape or construction that makes a simple piece feel much more interesting.
It’s also one of my favorite brands on this list for creating that minimalist look I love without making an outfit feel boring. An oversized silhouette, a more structured T-shirt or an interestingly cut trouser can be enough to completely change a look, and COS does those subtle design moments particularly well.
Why I Love:
One of my favorite destinations for elevated everyday basics.
The Clean Cut T-Shirt is a personal favorite I’ve recommended again and again.
Minimalist pieces with interesting proportions, shapes and design details.
A great selection of trousers, knitwear, shirting and outerwear alongside the basics.
Contemporary enough to feel interesting while still being incredibly easy to wear.
Best For: T-shirts, trousers, knitwear, shirting, outerwear and modern wardrobe staples with a minimalist edge.
7. ALMADA
If there’s one brand that perfectly captures the idea behind this edit, it might be ALMADA. Founded in 2020 by Alexa Dagmar and Linda Juhola, the Nordic fashion house approaches dressing through the idea of a modern, seasonless wardrobe, creating elevated essentials designed to be worn and revisited rather than replaced with every new trend.
The brand originally began with knitwear and has since grown into a complete ready-to-wear collection spanning tailoring, leather, shearling and silk. There’s a beautiful sense of understated luxury throughout, with soft knits, relaxed tailoring and timeless silhouettes that feel incredibly polished without ever looking overdone. I especially love the way ALMADA plays with proportion and texture, bringing just enough interest to otherwise minimal pieces.
The founders describe their approach as “everyday luxury,” and I think that sums up the brand perfectly.
These aren’t necessarily pieces you save for a special occasion, but elevated versions of the things you want to reach for all the time. It’s that balance of simplicity, quality and thoughtful design that makes ALMADA such a great brand to know if you love a more minimalist wardrobe.
Why I Love:
A beautiful approach to elevated minimalism.
Originally rooted in knitwear, with gorgeous knits still at the heart of the collection.
Relaxed proportions and beautiful textures make simple pieces feel more interesting.
A seasonless approach that prioritizes longevity over constant trends.
Everyday staples that still have a sense of understated luxury.
Best For: Knitwear, tailoring, outerwear and luxurious everyday staples for building a modern, minimalist wardrobe.
8. Musier
Musier is another perfect example of how the smallest details can completely elevate an otherwise simple piece. Founded in Paris in 2018 by Anne-Laure Mais, the brand has that effortless je ne sais quoi associated with French style, balancing clean silhouettes with subtle details that give each piece its own personality.
What I particularly love about Musier is the way the brand takes familiar wardrobe staples and makes them feel just a little more interesting. A simple knit might have an unexpected neckline, a top might feature beautiful draping or gathering, or a classic silhouette might be cut in a way that completely changes how it feels. Nothing is overly complicated, but those subtle touches are exactly what I look for when I want a minimalist outfit to feel a little more personal and elevated.
You’ll find everything from shirts and knitwear to trousers, denim, dresses and outerwear, all with that relaxed sophistication Musier does so well. It’s a great brand to have on your radar when you’re looking for something simple and wearable, but don’t necessarily want the most basic version of it.
Why I Love:
French minimalism with just the right amount of detail.
Beautiful cuts and subtle design elements that give simple pieces personality.
Classic wardrobe categories interpreted in a more interesting way.
Pieces that feel polished without losing that effortless quality.
That relaxed, slightly nonchalant approach to Parisian style.
Best For: Tops, knitwear, dresses, trousers and elevated French staples with unexpected details.
9. Rosaé Paris
Rosaé Paris is another French brand with so many gorgeous pieces to discover, especially if you love wardrobe staples that feel feminine, polished and a little more special. The brand was built around a simple idea: creating pieces that genuinely feel worth their price, with an emphasis on quality fabrics, beautiful cuts and designs that can stay in your wardrobe well beyond a single season.
There’s a real attention to detail throughout the collections that fits perfectly with what I love about elevated dressing. A beautifully cut blazer, a knit with just the right amount of structure or a classic coat can still feel simple, but the fabric, silhouette and finishing make all the difference. Rosaé works with materials including cashmere, merino wool, French tweeds, Italian wools and organic cotton, while also incorporating upcycled fabrics from luxury houses when possible.
Beyond the clothing, Rosaé also has a stunning collection of handbags that is absolutely worth discovering. I love that you can come to the brand for those foundational wardrobe pieces, but also find accessories that bring the same timeless, understated approach to an outfit.
Why I Love:
Beautiful French wardrobe staples with a feminine point of view.
An emphasis on quality fabrics, fit and thoughtful details.
Gorgeous knitwear, tailoring and outerwear.
Limited production and a focus on pieces designed to last.
A stunning handbag collection to discover alongside the ready-to-wear.
Best For: Knitwear, blazers, outerwear, feminine wardrobe staples and timeless handbags.
10. Massimo Dutti
Massimo Dutti is one of those brands I had to include in this edit. Founded in Spain in 1985, the brand originally began with menswear before expanding into womenswear, building its aesthetic around quality, timelessness and understated elegance.
It’s a great brand to have on your radar for those elevated pieces that form the foundation of a wardrobe, from beautifully cut trousers and tailoring to knitwear, shirts and outerwear. There’s a simplicity to the collections that makes the pieces incredibly easy to wear, but the attention to cut, fabric and proportion keeps them feeling polished and considered.
And I have to give a special mention to the Downtown collection right now because I love just about every piece. The collection immediately reminded me of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s style, with its clean silhouettes, understated palette and that effortless approach to minimalism that I absolutely adore.
It’s simple and elevated, and such a good reminder that sometimes you really can’t go wrong with a beautifully cut wardrobe staple and very little else.
Why I Love:
A great destination for elevated, timeless wardrobe staples.
Beautiful tailoring, trousers, knitwear, shirts and outerwear.
Simple silhouettes made more interesting through cut, fabric and proportion.
An understated aesthetic that makes the pieces incredibly versatile.
The Downtown collection right now is giving me all the Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, model off duty, minimalist inspiration.
Best For: Tailoring, trousers, knitwear, shirts, outerwear and polished everyday staples with a minimalist feel.
11. Soeur
Soeur is another French brand you’ve probably seen me mention before, particularly for its handbags, which I absolutely love. But beyond the accessories, the brand has an entire wardrobe of beautifully understated staples that are equally worth discovering.
Founded in 2007 by sisters Angélique and Domitille Brion, Soeur takes a relaxed approach to French dressing, often borrowing elements from menswear and reinterpreting them through a feminine lens. That balance is one of the things I love most about the brand. You’ll find oversized shirts, relaxed trousers, beautiful knitwear and structured jackets that have an effortless quality while still feeling incredibly polished.
Soeur is another great example of how proportion can make even the simplest wardrobe staple feel more interesting. There’s often a slightly oversized or masculine quality to the silhouettes that gives an outfit personality without needing much else.
And if you already know the brand for its handbags, I definitely recommend taking a closer look at the ready-to-wear too.
Why I Love:
Relaxed French wardrobe staples with a slightly menswear-inspired feel.
Beautiful oversized proportions and easy silhouettes.
A great selection of knitwear, shirts, trousers and outerwear.
Pieces that feel understated while still having plenty of personality.
The handbags remain some of my favorite pieces from the brand.
Best For: Knitwear, oversized shirts, trousers, jackets, outerwear and beautifully understated French handbags.
12. ME+EM
ME+EM is another brand I love for bringing a little more personality to wardrobe staples. Founded in London in 2009 by Clare Hornby, the brand is built around what it calls “Intelligent Style,” with an emphasis on pieces that balance great fit and functionality with thoughtful, contemporary design.
What catches my attention most are the details. ME+EM can take something as classic as a knit, button-down, trouser or blazer and introduce an interesting proportion, unexpected color combination or subtle design element that makes it feel completely different. It’s that same idea I keep coming back to throughout this edit: you can have a wardrobe rooted in relatively simple pieces and still make it feel incredibly personal through the pieces you choose.
The brand is also particularly focused on fit, with silhouettes developed and refined down to details like pocket placement, buttons and customizable elements. The result is a collection filled with pieces that feel practical enough for everyday life, but still have that little something extra that makes you excited to wear them.
Why I Love:
Wardrobe staples with a little more personality.
Interesting proportions, colors and details that make classic pieces feel fresh.
A strong emphasis on flattering, thoughtful silhouettes.
Pieces designed to balance style with real-life functionality.
A great mix of timeless foundations and more distinctive pieces.
Best For: Knitwear, trousers, shirting, tailoring and elevated everyday staples with thoughtful, unexpected details.
13. Loulou de Saison
I absolutely love the elevated aesthetic of Loulou de Saison. Founded in Paris in 2019 by Chloé Harrouche, the brand is centered around understated elegance and a more intentional approach to dressing, creating pieces that feel sophisticated without ever feeling overdone.
This is another brand that really embodies what I love about minimalist style. The collections focus on silhouette, texture and proportion, taking familiar wardrobe staples and giving them a more refined point of view. Think beautiful knitwear, fluid trousers, relaxed tailoring and simple tops where the fabric or shape is what makes the piece stand out. There’s an ease to everything, but it still feels incredibly polished.
I especially love the idea of subtle luxury that runs throughout the brand. Nothing needs to scream for attention. Instead, it’s the beautiful material, an oversized proportion, a soft texture or the way a piece falls that makes it feel special.
It’s exactly the kind of wardrobe that proves simplicity can still feel incredibly interesting and elevated.
Why I Love:
An effortlessly elevated Parisian aesthetic.
Beautiful use of silhouette, proportion and texture.
Minimalist pieces that still feel distinctive and interesting.
A focus on understated, subtle luxury rather than obvious trends.
Wardrobe staples that balance ease with sophistication.
Best For: Knitwear, trousers, tailoring, outerwear and beautifully understated wardrobe staples with a modern Parisian feel.
14. House of Dagmar
House of Dagmar is another Scandinavian brand I love for elevated wardrobe staples, but with a slightly more unconventional approach to minimalism. Founded in Stockholm in 2005 by three sisters, the brand was named after their late grandmother, Dagmar, a tailor whose craftsmanship, style and appreciation for quality continue to influence the collections today.
There’s a sophistication to House of Dagmar that feels a little unexpected. The foundation is very minimal, but you’ll often find an interesting shape, a more sculptural silhouette or a subtle sensuality that gives an otherwise simple piece so much more personality. It’s another perfect example of how a wardrobe can remain understated while still feeling distinctive.
The collections are designed in Stockholm with an emphasis on high-quality, long-lasting materials, and you’ll find everything from beautiful knitwear and tailoring to trousers, dresses and outerwear. I especially love House of Dagmar for those pieces that can become the focal point of a very simple outfit without feeling like a traditional statement piece.
Why I Love:
Scandinavian minimalism with a slightly unconventional point of view.
Interesting silhouettes that bring personality to simple wardrobe staples.
A beautiful balance between understated and subtly sensual.
An emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and long-lasting materials.
Pieces that can make a minimal outfit feel distinctive without adding excess.
Best For: Knitwear, tailoring, trousers, dresses and modern wardrobe staples with a more directional Scandinavian feel.
15. Filippa K
When talking about Scandinavian minimalism, Filippa K absolutely deserves a place on this list. Founded in Sweden in 1993 by Filippa Knutsson, Karin Hellners and Patrik Kihlborg, the brand was an early pioneer of the minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic we know so well today, built around a desire to create simple, beautifully made clothes that balance style, comfort and everyday functionality.
More than 30 years later, that approach still feels incredibly relevant. Filippa K designs its collections from a capsule wardrobe perspective, taking classic pieces and subtly reinterpreting them through modern cuts, proportions and thoughtful details. It’s uncomplicated dressing, but still considered enough to make a simple outfit feel polished.
I also love the brand’s philosophy of “less, but better.” Rather than building a wardrobe around constant novelty, the focus is on timeless pieces that can work across different outfits and occasions.
From beautifully cut trousers and knitwear to shirting, tailoring and outerwear, it’s a great brand to know if you love the idea of a streamlined wardrobe filled with really good staples.
Why I Love:
One of the original names behind modern Scandinavian minimalism.
A “less, but better” approach to building a wardrobe.
Classic staples subtly updated through modern cuts and proportions.
Pieces designed with both style and everyday functionality in mind.
More than 30 years of creating uncomplicated, timeless wardrobes.
Best For: Trousers, tailoring, knitwear, shirting and timeless Scandinavian wardrobe staples for everyday dressing.
16. A.P.C.
I’ve mentioned A.P.C. several times for its handbags, which I love, but the ready-to-wear is just as worth having on your radar for really good wardrobe staples. Founded in Paris in 1987 by Jean Touitou, A.P.C. has built its identity around simplicity, quality and versatility, creating pieces that are designed to last rather than follow every new trend.
There’s something very effortless about the A.P.C. wardrobe. The silhouettes are clean and understated, but never completely devoid of personality. There might be an unexpected detail, a slightly different proportion or just a touch of irreverence that keeps a classic piece from feeling too basic. I also love the brand’s philosophy that the clothes should allow the personality of the person wearing them to come through, rather than overpowering them. That feels particularly fitting for the kind of minimalist dressing I love.
A.P.C. is especially well known for its denim, but you’ll also find beautiful knitwear, shirting, tailoring and outerwear alongside its accessories. And, of course, I can’t talk about A.P.C. without mentioning the handbags. The iconic Demi-Lune is a classic, but there are so many understated leather styles worth discovering throughout the handbag collections.
Why I Love:
Timeless Parisian staples with an understated aesthetic.
Simple pieces with just enough personality to keep them interesting.
A.P.C. denim has become a signature of the brand.
Beautiful knitwear, shirting and outerwear alongside the classics.
A handbag collection I’ve loved and featured several times.
Best For: Denim, knitwear, shirting, outerwear and understated leather handbags with a timeless Parisian feel.
17. Masscob
Masscob is another Spanish brand worth discovering if you love timeless wardrobe pieces with an effortless feel. Founded in Galicia in 2003 by Marga Massanet and Jacobo Cobián, the independent brand takes a thoughtful approach to design, with an emphasis on quality, craftsmanship and pieces intended to remain relevant well beyond a single season.
What really caught my attention is the way Masscob describes its approach as transforming simplicity into elegance. The collections play with the contrast between feminine and masculine, traditional and contemporary, resulting in pieces that feel understated but still have a distinct point of view. Beautiful fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, thoughtful colors and subtle details are what give otherwise simple pieces their character.
The brand also produces its garments in Spain, working through its own workshops and with local suppliers, including small family-run businesses. It’s another great example of the kind of wardrobe I’m drawn to: uncomplicated pieces that you can wear again and again, but with enough attention to cut, material and detail to make them feel special.
Why I Love:
A beautiful approach to transforming simplicity into elegance.
Relaxed, timeless pieces that balance feminine and masculine influences.
Thoughtful use of materials, color and subtle details.
Garments produced in Spain through the brand’s own workshops and local suppliers.
Pieces designed to transcend trends and remain relevant season after season.
Best For: Shirts, knitwear, trousers, tailoring and relaxed wardrobe staples with an understated Spanish point of view.
18. Róhe
I absolutely love the world of Róhe and had to include the brand in this edit. Based in Amsterdam, Róhe has such a beautiful approach to elevated dressing, with collections that feel incredibly refined while still being rooted in pieces you can imagine building a wardrobe around.
The brand designs from its in-house atelier inside Huis de Vicq, a 17th-century canal house in Amsterdam that serves as both its creative space and a source of inspiration. There’s a real intersection of fashion, art, architecture and craftsmanship within the Róhe universe, and I love how that translates into the clothes. The atelier focuses on construction and fit, combining traditional techniques like mannequin draping and in-house pattern making with a contemporary approach to tailoring.
What draws me to Róhe is how elevated even the simplest pieces feel. Beautiful tailoring, interesting proportions, fluid silhouettes and thoughtful draping bring so much dimension to otherwise understated wardrobe staples.
It’s minimal, but there’s always something about the cut or construction that makes you look twice, which is exactly the kind of detail I love.
Why I Love:
A beautifully considered universe that brings together fashion, art, architecture and craftsmanship.
Minimalist pieces made interesting through construction, proportion and draping.
Beautiful tailoring and elevated everyday staples.
An in-house Amsterdam atelier with a strong focus on fit and craftsmanship.
A refined aesthetic that still feels modern and incredibly wearable.
Best For: Tailoring, knitwear, trousers, outerwear and beautifully designed wardrobe staples with a modern, architectural feel.
Final Thoughts
For me, building an elevated wardrobe really comes down to finding pieces that feel simple, versatile and timeless, but still have enough personality to make them feel like your own. Whether that comes through an unexpected silhouette, a beautiful fabric, an oversized proportion or simply an incredible fit, sometimes the smallest details are what make the biggest difference.
I also think there’s something to be said for slowing down and finding the version of a wardrobe staple you genuinely love rather than settling for one that’s just okay. Sometimes investing a little more in a great button-down, knit, trouser or coat can be worth it when the quality and fit are there and you know you’ll wear it constantly. Look for pieces that work with what you already own, can be styled in multiple ways and, most importantly, feel like you. Those are the pieces that tend to become the real foundations of a wardrobe.
I hope this edit introduced you to a few new European brands to explore, alongside some familiar favorites you may want to rediscover as we head into fall!
