Discover the Adèle Bag by Fauvette Paris
There are certain brands you discover and instantly feel drawn to, not only for the aesthetic, but for the story behind them.
I have been following Fauvette Paris for quite some time now, always drawn to the beautiful clasp details and the quiet elegance of the silhouettes. It was one of those brands that stayed in the back of my mind, distinctive yet timeless, the kind you remember long after first discovering it.
What makes Fauvette even more inspiring is that the founder, Claire Rischette, built the brand herself, driven purely by passion for leather craftsmanship. Knowing that she designs the pieces and continues to produce part of the collection in her Parisian workshop makes the bags feel even more meaningful.
The Adèle bag immediately stood out to me for its structured silhouette and refined vintage inspiration. It has that balance I am always looking for, something distinctive enough to feel special, yet timeless enough to integrate naturally into everyday life.
In this post, I’m sharing a closer look at Fauvette Paris, the story behind the brand, and why the Adèle has quickly become such a beautiful go-to piece.
About Fauvette Paris
Founded in 2013, Fauvette was created by Claire Rischette, a self-taught leather artisan who discovered her passion for craftsmanship after working for several years as an optician.
She began by creating leather pieces for friends and family before fully dedicating herself to the craft and launching Fauvette. One year later, she completed a CAP in leatherwork in order to master traditional techniques and deepen her expertise.
Today, she still designs each creation and continues to produce part of the collection in-house, while collaborating with a second French workshop that manufactures certain pieces in very small quantities, always respecting the artisanal savoir-faire.
Each detail reflects this commitment to craftsmanship, from the carefully selected leathers sourced from French, Italian, and Spanish tanneries, to the jewelry of the clasps, designed by Claire and gilded with 24k gold in Paris.
The result is a collection of timeless pieces with vintage inspirations, created to accompany you for many years.
About the Adèle Bag
The Adèle bag beautifully reflects Fauvette’s dedication to craftsmanship and detail.
Crafted in France from lizard-embossed mineral-tanned cowhide leather, the silhouette feels elegant and structured while remaining easy to wear throughout the day. The proportions are compact yet practical, allowing it to comfortably hold everyday essentials without feeling bulky.
One of the most distinctive elements is the magnetic flower clasp, gilded with fine gold, a signature detail that immediately caught my attention when I first discovered the brand, delicate, distinctive, and instantly recognizable in a way that feels both vintage-inspired and quietly modern.
The bag can be carried on the shoulder, or crossbody, which makes it especially versatile for everyday use. I personally love how easily you can transition from shoulder to crossbody in one simple motion, without needing to adjust or change the strap. It makes it perfect for days when you are moving between meetings, coffee stops, errands, or dinner plans.
The structured shape helps the bag maintain a polished look, while the adjustable strap allows for comfort and flexibility throughout the day. Handmade in France with saddler finishing, the Adèle bag reflects the kind of thoughtful craftsmanship that makes a piece feel special from the moment you start using it.
My Notes
The Adèle bag has quickly become a beautiful go-to piece in my wardrobe.
It is the kind of bag that works just as well for slower mornings at a café as it does for busier days moving between meetings, errands, or dinner plans. I always appreciate pieces that bring a sense of ease to getting dressed, knowing they will complement anything already in the wardrobe.
I have always been drawn to structured bags because they instantly bring a sense of polish to even the simplest outfits, and this silhouette feels especially timeless. It pairs effortlessly with wardrobe staples like denim, linen, tailoring, dresses or soft knits, making it easy to incorporate into everyday looks.
One of the details I appreciate most is how naturally the bag adapts throughout the day. Being able to wear it on the shoulder or crossbody without needing to adjust anything makes it feel especially effortless when moving between different moments of the day. It is the kind of thoughtful detail that quietly simplifies getting dressed and going about your day.
I have really enjoyed discovering the story behind the brand so far and learning more about Claire’s approach to craftsmanship. Knowing she remains closely involved in the design process and continues producing part of the collection herself makes the pieces feel especially intentional. There is something incredibly meaningful about supporting founders who remain deeply connected to their creations, it adds a sense of authenticity that is increasingly rare.
It feels like a piece created with intention, designed not only to complement an outfit, but to accompany everyday life for years to come.
It is also one of Fauvette’s best-selling designs, and after wearing it, it is easy to understand why! The silhouette feels timeless, the clasp detail is truly special, and the versatility makes it incredibly easy to wear throughout the day.
