15 French Brands With New Shoe Arrivals I’m Loving for Fall

As fall collections begin arriving, I’ve been keeping a close eye on the new shoes coming in for the season ahead. There are plenty of the timeless fall elements I always love, from rich brown leather and beautiful suede to classic silhouettes, but I’m also noticing some fresh updates. High-vamp styles, which offer more coverage across the top of the foot, are appearing as a fresh alternative to the lower-cut flats and pumps we’ve been wearing over the past few seasons.

Color is also playing a big role this fall. Bright red has been catching my eye across so many of the new collections, while blue suede, from deep navy to more vibrant cobalt tones, is another detail I keep noticing. Shoes are one of my favorite ways to personalize an outfit and introduce a little color without completely changing the way you dress. I love the idea of an all-denim look finished with navy suede flats, or cream trousers and a soft knit paired with a wine-red high-vamp flat.

There are so many exciting pieces beginning to arrive, from beautifully timeless designs to new interpretations of familiar classics. For this edit, I’ve pulled together favorites from French brands across a range of price points, with everything from easy everyday styles to more investment-focused options. Below, I’m sharing the new-season shoes that have caught my eye so far. I hope you enjoy this edit and perhaps discover a new favorite for fall!

Rivecour is a French footwear brand founded by Édouard Aubin, with a focus on effortless elegance, comfort, and beautifully made shoes that feel both timeless and distinctive. The collections are crafted in Portugal using traditional techniques and feature refined leathers, thoughtful proportions, and subtle design details that give each pair its own personality.

What I especially love about Rivecour is the way the brand takes familiar silhouettes and gives them a fresh, polished feel. This season, I’m particularly drawn to the Numéro 134, Numéro 413, and Numéro 529. The Numéro 413 is also a perfect example of the high-vamp silhouette I mentioned earlier, with more coverage across the top of the foot for a sleek, modern look.

  • Highlights: French footwear brand, made in Portugal, beautiful leather and suede, refined silhouettes, and a strong focus on comfort.

  • Best For: Polished everyday shoes, feminine classics, rich fall neutrals, and timeless silhouettes with a subtle twist.

Nomasei is a French footwear brand founded by Marine Braquet and Paule Tenaillon, who brought together years of experience working across some of the biggest names in luxury fashion. The brand was created around a vision of thoughtful, timeless luxury, with a strong focus on transparency, craftsmanship, and creating shoes that feel just as considered in the way they are made as they do in the way they look.

The collections are produced in partnership with a family-run factory in Montopoli, Tuscany, where the brand has built a close network of local suppliers. I especially love the balance Nomasei strikes between distinctive design and everyday wearability. This season, the THEOFFICE pumps, NONO loafers, and FLIP ballet flats are the styles catching my eye most. The NONO has become one of the brand’s signatures, while the FLIP brings Nomasei’s thoughtful approach to comfort into a beautifully simple ballet flat.

  • Highlights: French female-founded footwear brand, made in Tuscany, luxury fashion expertise, strong focus on transparency and responsible production, distinctive modern classics.

  • Best For: Elevated everyday shoes, modern classics, thoughtful craftsmanship, and distinctive silhouettes with a polished Parisian feel.

Founded in Paris in 2007 by sisters Angélique and Domitille Brion, Soeur has long been known for its modern, minimalist approach to dressing, with clean lines, understated silhouettes, and a signature balance between masculine and feminine style. That aesthetic feels especially well suited to this season, as refined, pared-back shapes continue to stand out across both clothing and footwear.

I’m also really loving Soeur’s shoe collection for fall. The Amalie mule is a beautiful example of the high-vamp silhouette I mentioned earlier, while the Albie Mary Jane brings a more feminine shape into the mix. Their softer loafers and mules, including the Antonine and Nine, also stand out for their relaxed, easy feel. The whole collection feels very true to Soeur, modern, polished, and incredibly wearable.

  • Highlights: French fashion brand, founded in Paris, modern minimalist aesthetic, strong masculine-feminine influence, footwear made in Portugal.

  • Best For: Minimalist wardrobes, modern classics, high-vamp silhouettes, soft loafers, and polished everyday shoes.

Carel is one of those French shoe brands that immediately comes to mind when I think of playful color, feminine silhouettes, and timeless Parisian style. Founded in Paris in the 1950s, the Maison has long been known for creating shoes that balance elegance with everyday wearability, from its signature Mary Janes to ballet flats, slingbacks, and low heels. Color has always been part of Carel’s identity, which makes it one of my favorite places to look when I want something classic with a little more personality.

If you’re looking to add a pop of red this fall, Carel is probably one of the best French brands to keep on your radar. I’m especially loving the Milie, with its pointed shape, delicate strap, and sculptural little heel, along with the Amanda, Carel’s high-vamp take on the ballet flat. The Pomme mule is another beautiful new-season style, with a clean, easy silhouette that feels perfectly in step with the more refined shapes we’re seeing this fall.

  • Highlights: French heritage footwear brand, founded in Paris, iconic Mary Janes and ballet flats, strong use of color, feminine silhouettes, and artisanal craftsmanship.

  • Best For: Pops of color, red shoes, Mary Janes, modern ballet flats, feminine everyday shoes, and classic French style with personality.

Souliers Martinez is a Paris-based footwear brand founded by Julien Martinez, whose French and Spanish heritage is deeply woven into the identity of the Maison. After discovering traditional hand-braiding techniques in Alicante, Julien began working with Spanish artisans to bring that craftsmanship into his own designs. Each pair is assembled and finished in Spain, blending a distinctly Parisian sense of refinement with the warmth and character of Spanish shoemaking.

I especially love the way Souliers Martinez brings a modern perspective to familiar silhouettes while still keeping that cultural influence at the heart of the collection. The Penelope reworks the classic 1960s baby shoe with a slightly androgynous feel, while the Montjuic offers a beautifully soft, square-toe interpretation of the ballet flat. I’m also drawn to the Mina, another great example of the high-vamp shape we’re seeing this season, and the Sarria pump for its clean lines and sculptural heel.

  • Highlights: Paris-based footwear brand, inspired by Spanish heritage, handcrafted in Spain, artisanal techniques, modern interpretations of classic silhouettes.

  • Best For: Modern flats, high-vamp silhouettes, refined heels, distinctive shapes, and shoes that blend Parisian elegance with Spanish craftsmanship.

Pied de Biche is a French footwear brand founded in 2015 with a focus on creating beautifully made shoes at a more accessible price point. The brand develops its collections in France and works closely with workshops in the Porto region, using carefully selected leathers, many sourced from northern Italy. Its approach is rooted in reworking timeless silhouettes with subtle changes in color, texture, and proportion, which gives the collection a classic feel with just enough personality.

If you’re looking for timeless fall shoes, this is definitely a brand to keep on your radar. I’m especially drawn to the Camélia, a refined take on the classic baby shoe, along with the Lou loafer in brown reptile-embossed leather. The Orlane and Ambre heels are also beautiful options if you want something a little more polished, and I love how the reptile textures bring depth to otherwise very classic silhouettes.

  • Highlights: French footwear brand, collections developed in France, produced in Portugal, Italian-sourced leathers, timeless silhouettes, accessible luxury positioning.

  • Best For: Classic everyday shoes, loafers, Mary Janes, elegant heels, and timeless styles with subtle texture and detail.

Founded in 2010, Bobbies is a French footwear and leather goods brand known for its effortless Parisian style, combining clean, contemporary lines with subtle vintage influences. The collections are designed in Paris and the shoes are crafted in Portugal, including in the brand’s own traditional workshop near Porto, where much of the production is completed by hand. Bobbies also works with longtime family-run workshops, and its leathers are sourced from tanneries across France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.

I’ve visited Bobbies boutiques in both Bordeaux and Paris, and on my last trip I very nearly left with several pairs of heels. The only thing stopping me was the lack of space in my suitcase. This fall, there are already a few styles catching my eye. I love the Gigi slingback heels, the Edie ballet flats for another take on the high-vamp silhouette, and the Jill loafers, which bring a fun woven texture into the mix. I’m also starting to think about boots as we transition into fall, and the Audrey heeled ankle boots feel like such an easy style to wear as the weather begins to change.

  • Highlights: French footwear brand, designed in Paris, shoes crafted in Portugal, own traditional workshop near Porto, European leathers, and a blend of contemporary and vintage-inspired design.

  • Best For: Parisian everyday shoes, slingbacks, modern flats, textured loafers, ankle boots, and polished styles that transition easily into fall.

Founded in Paris in 2016 by Jeanne Damas, Rouje is a French fashion brand built around a very personal vision of femininity, inspired by Parisian women, vintage references, film, photography, and the idea of dressing in a way that still lets the woman herself come first. That perspective runs through everything from the clothing and accessories to the beauty line, and it is part of what has made Rouje such a recognizable name in modern French style.

I’ve visited the Rouje boutique in Paris several times over the years and already own both dresses and beauty products from the brand, some of which have become part of my everyday routine. I’ve also had a crush on the Elsa boots for years, so perhaps this will finally be the season I add them to my collection. Beyond those, Rouje has just released several new styles I’m loving for fall, including the Prado ballerinas, Nina ballerinas, Brooklin loafers, and Nicoise ballerinas. The mix feels very true to Rouje, feminine, polished, slightly vintage, and easy to imagine wearing with everything from denim to dresses.

  • Highlights: French fashion brand, founded in Paris by Jeanne Damas, strong Parisian identity, vintage-inspired femininity, clothing, accessories, shoes, and beauty.

  • Best For: Feminine everyday shoes, ballet flats, loafers, ankle boots, Parisian-inspired styling, and vintage-influenced silhouettes.

No French shoe edit would be complete without Repetto. Founded in Paris in 1947 by Rose Repetto, the Maison grew from the world of dance and has become one of the most recognizable names in French footwear. Its history is closely tied to movement, craftsmanship, and iconic silhouettes, from the Cendrillon ballet flat, created for Brigitte Bardot in the 1950s, to the Zizi lace-up style later associated with Serge Gainsbourg.

Repetto is, of course, one of the first places I think of for a classic ballet flat, but I’m also loving some of the newer directions in the collection this season. There are beautiful new colorways across the classics, and I’ve also been noticing the return of the derby shoe, with Repetto’s lighter suede version feeling especially fresh for fall. Their new high-vamp Lilouh ballet flat is another style that caught my eye, offering a more modern interpretation of the silhouette while still feeling unmistakably Repetto.

  • Highlights: French heritage footwear Maison, founded in Paris in 1947, iconic ballet flats and derbies, historic cousu-retourné craftsmanship, and certain styles featured are made in France.

  • Best For: Classic ballet flats, French heritage shoes, refined everyday styles, derbies, and elegant updates to timeless silhouettes.

10. Jonak

Founded in Paris in 1964 by Marcel and Josette Nakam, Jonak is a French family-run footwear brand with more than six decades of history. What began as a small boutique on rue Saint-Placide has grown into one of the better-known names in French shoes, while keeping a strong focus on thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and accessible pricing. Today, the family story continues with the next generation, and the collections are developed with particular attention to line, proportion, materials, and wearability.

Jonak works primarily with workshops in Europe, including Portugal, Spain, and Italy, each selected for its expertise in traditional shoemaking. I also own the ACA loafers in black leather, and they are easily one of the most comfortable and most-worn pairs of loafers in my wardrobe. For fall, I’m loving the DUEDI loafers with their rounded shape, along with the DOUALA slingbacks in rich bordeaux leather. The color feels especially beautiful for the season and is such an easy way to bring warmth into an everyday look.

  • Highlights: French family-run footwear brand, founded in Paris in 1964, strong focus on line and proportion, European production across Portugal, Spain, and Italy, and a wide range of classic and contemporary styles.

  • Best For: Comfortable loafers, polished everyday shoes, slingbacks, seasonal colors, and versatile French footwear.

Founded in Paris in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, Sézane has become one of the most recognizable French fashion brands for its modern take on the Parisian wardrobe. What began with carefully sourced vintage pieces has grown into a complete collection of clothing, accessories, leather goods, and shoes, all guided by a strong attention to detail, color, and pieces designed to live in your wardrobe for years.

Sézane has introduced plenty of new footwear for fall, and I’m especially loving the Barbara pumps, which are another beautiful example of the high-vamp silhouette appearing this season. The vintage cream color feels particularly elegant with soft fall neutrals. I also have my eye on the Garance ankle boots and the Low Noella ballet flats, both of which feel like easy additions to a fall wardrobe.

  • Highlights: French fashion brand, founded in Paris in 2013, known for modern Parisian wardrobe staples, strong seasonal collections, and a growing footwear selection. Certain styles featured here, including the Barbara pumps, are made in Portugal.

  • Best For: Parisian wardrobe staples, modern flats, ankle boots, classic silhouettes, and shoes designed to complement an everyday wardrobe.

Rosaé Paris is a French fashion brand built around the idea of choosing better, with a focus on timeless design, beautiful materials, thoughtful cuts, and pieces created to earn a lasting place in your wardrobe. The collections are designed by women for women, with particular attention given to natural fibers, quality, and limited production. Whenever possible, Rosaé works with ateliers in France and across Europe, while also incorporating upcycled fabrics from luxury houses into select pieces.

The brand has just released several new arrivals, and I’m especially obsessed with the Le Gulliver cape trench, but the shoes are also very much on my radar this season. Alongside some of the classic styles that have become staples in the collection, I’m particularly interested in the Les Fabien riding boots. I’ve been looking for a very specific riding boot silhouette for fall, and these are currently at the top of my list. They have the clean, timeless shape I’ve been searching for and feel like the kind of pair I could reach for year after year.

  • Highlights: French fashion brand, designed by women for women, focus on timeless wardrobe pieces, natural materials, limited production, and manufacturing in France and across Europe whenever possible.

  • Best For: Refined wardrobe staples, timeless shoes, classic riding boots, feminine Parisian style, and pieces designed to be worn season after season.

13. Bocage

Founded in 1966 in Maine-et-Loire, Bocage is a French footwear brand with a strong focus on craftsmanship, quality leather, comfort, and shoes designed to last. The brand develops its style and collections in France, with most production taking place in Europe and around 30% made in its own workshop in France. I also like the way Bocage approaches trends, with an emphasis on styles that feel current while still having enough staying power to wear beyond a single season.

Bocage is also a brand that has been recommended to me by friends back home in France, and I’ve had the chance to visit their stores in Paris. Their collections are always full of cute, wearable styles, and this fall there are a few pairs I’m especially loving, including the Célina cherry slingback pump, the Bianca dark brown ballet pump, and the Eugénie dark brown slingback pump. The mix of rich brown and cherry feels especially perfect for the season.

  • Highlights: French footwear brand, founded in Maine-et-Loire in 1966, strong focus on leather and comfort, most production in Europe, and around 30% made in France in the brand’s own workshop.

  • Best For: Everyday French shoes, slingbacks, ballet pumps, rich seasonal colors, timeless leather styles, and comfortable silhouettes with a polished feel.

14. Maje

Maje is a French fashion brand founded by Judith Milgrom, with a vision centered around the many sides of the modern Parisian woman. The brand has always balanced femininity with confidence and individuality, creating collections that move easily between polished, playful, elegant, and more expressive moods. Maje is also well known for its accessories, including the bestselling M bag, which has become one of the brand’s most recognizable signatures.

For fall, I’m really loving some of the new footwear arrivals, especially the embossed leather wedge mules, the flat leather boots with chain, and the pointed embossed leather slingbacks. The embossed finishes add such beautiful texture for the season, while the boots bring in a stronger, more structured silhouette that still feels very polished.

  • Highlights: French fashion brand, founded by Judith Milgrom, strong Parisian identity, feminine and expressive design, known for its bestselling M bag, and a wide range of clothing, accessories, and footwear.

  • Best For: Statement footwear, textured leather shoes, polished boots, feminine silhouettes, and modern Parisian pieces with a little more personality.

To round out the edit, I thought it would be fun to include Roger Vivier as a more investment-focused option. Founded in Paris in 1937, the Maison has played an important role in the history of French footwear, with a design language built around craftsmanship, innovation, and some of the most recognizable shoe details in fashion.

One of its most iconic creations is the Belle Vivier, introduced in the 1960s with its low block heel and signature square buckle. The style became closely associated with Catherine Deneuve after she wore it in Belle de Jour, and that buckle remains one of the Maison’s defining signatures today. I love how Roger Vivier continues to reinterpret those house codes through new colors, textures, and silhouettes each season.

For fall, I’m especially drawn to the navy suede styles, which tie perfectly into the blue suede trend I mentioned earlier, along with the rich burgundy options. I’m also really loving the boots in the current collection, which feel polished, timeless, and especially beautiful for the season ahead.

  • Highlights: French luxury footwear Maison, founded in Paris in 1937, iconic Belle Vivier buckle, historic Parisian savoir-faire, distinctive feminine silhouettes, and a strong heritage of footwear innovation.

  • Best For: Luxury footwear, iconic French design, suede, rich seasonal colors, polished boots, and timeless statement shoes.

Shop the Shoes

I’ve gathered all of the shoes featured throughout this edit, along with additional styles I’m loving from French brands, here and below. From ballet flats and loafers to slingbacks, pumps, and ankle boots, there are so many beautiful options to explore for the season ahead!

Final Thoughts

One of the things I’m enjoying most about this season’s footwear is the balance between familiar classics and fresh new shapes. Ballet flats, loafers, slingbacks, and ankle boots are all still very much part of the fall wardrobe, but the details feel a little different this season, from higher vamps and softer silhouettes to rich suede, deep browns, bright reds, and beautiful blue tones.

Shoes are such an easy way to make an outfit feel more personal, whether that means adding a pop of color, introducing a new texture, or simply choosing a silhouette that feels a little unexpected. I love that so many French brands are offering pieces that feel timeless enough to wear season after season while still bringing something fresh to the wardrobe.

These are just a few of the styles catching my eye so far, and I’m excited to see what else arrives as the fall collections continue to unfold. I hope this edit gives you a few new brands and shoes to discover for the season ahead.
