Nat & Nin is a French handbag brand I’ve featured in several of my previous edits, and I recently had the pleasure of adding one of their beautiful bags to my own collection!

Founded in Paris in 2005 by sisters Nathalie and Ninny, the brand has a lovely family story rooted in leather craftsmanship. Growing up surrounded by their parents’ leather workshop, the sisters eventually launched their own accessories label, creating contemporary handbags with a focus on everyday style, practicality and accessible pricing.

I recently added the Rachel in Ebène Suede to my collection, and I’ve been absolutely loving it so far! The rich chocolate brown is beautiful for fall and winter, and I especially love its relaxed shoulder-bag silhouette. My first impressions of the quality have also been wonderful. The suede feels soft and substantial, the bag holds its shape beautifully, and the finishing details feel thoughtfully considered.

If you’d like a closer look, I recently shared a dedicated article of my Nat & Nin Rachel bag, including my first impressions and how I’ve been styling it.

Beyond the Rachel, Nat & Nin offers a lovely selection of leather and suede handbags, from everyday shoulder bags and crossbodies to smaller, more contemporary styles, with plenty of options to explore under $300.

Shop the Edit

And lastly, if you're looking for an introduction to the world of French handbags, Longchamp is a lovely place to start, especially with its iconic Le Pliage tote!

Founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, Longchamp is a family-owned French leather goods house with a rich history rooted in craftsmanship, creativity and innovation. Originally known for its leather-covered pipes and small leather goods, the Maison eventually expanded into handbags and travel accessories. In 1993, Philippe Cassegrain introduced Le Pliage, a lightweight, foldable tote inspired by the Japanese art of origami, which has since become one of the brand's most recognizable designs.

Growing up in France, I remember Le Pliage being the go-to school bag throughout high school and university. It seemed like everyone had one! So for me, there's definitely a little nostalgia attached to this particular handbag. But even today, I still see it carried everywhere, and I love how it continues to be such a classic.
