After recently sharing some of my favorite French and European trench coats for fall, I wanted to turn to another outerwear staple I always love seeing return this time of year: leather and suede jackets.
A beautiful leather or suede jacket is one of those pieces I really think is worth investing in. It can instantly give even the simplest outfit a little more texture and personality, and it is something you can bring back out every fall while still finding ways to style it throughout the rest of the year. From denim and trousers to dresses, skirts and knitwear, there are so many ways to make one work within your existing wardrobe.

Founded in Paris in 2013 by Morgane Sézalory, Sézane has become one of the most recognizable French fashion brands, known for timeless wardrobe staples with that effortless Parisian feel. From knitwear and tailoring to accessories and outerwear, it is also one of those brands I find myself coming back to season after season.
I personally own the Will Jacket in suede and have had mine for over three years now. It has been such a great investment in my wardrobe, and every fall I bring it back out and love finding new ways to style it throughout the season. The quality has held up beautifully over the years, and it is also surprisingly warm, which makes it just as practical as it is easy to style.
There are several other leather and suede pieces from Sézane catching my eye this season too. I especially love the Robb Jacket in Taupe, with its softer neutral color and relaxed silhouette, as well as the Clyde Coat in Camel Suede or Chocolate Leather.
I own and love the Clyde in the classic trench version, so seeing the same silhouette reimagined in rich chocolate leather immediately caught my eye. It gives such a familiar Sézane shape a completely different feel for fall.

Whenever possible, Rosaé works with ateliers in France and across Europe, while also incorporating upcycled fabrics from luxury houses into select pieces.

One of my personal favorites is the Le Daphné Leather Jacket, which has such a clean, polished silhouette and feels like the kind of piece you could easily style year after year.

You may have recently seen the brand included in my edit dedicated to French suede handbags, but Balzac Paris is also one I love exploring for ready-to-wear and outerwear. The collections often balance classic wardrobe staples with just enough color, texture or unexpected detail to make them feel a little more distinctive.
For this edit, I especially love the Augustin Fringe Suede Jacket. I have been seeing more fringe details lately, from tassel skirts to outerwear, and this jacket feels like such a beautiful way to bring that trend into a fall wardrobe. It has that slightly western-inspired feel, but still feels polished and very wearable.

Rouje is another one of my favorite French clothing brands, and you may have already seen it featured throughout Maéva in edits dedicated to shoes, handbags, dresses and more. I’ve also visited the Rouje boutique in Paris several times over the years and already own pieces from the brand, so it is one I always like to keep an eye on when new collections arrive.
For this edit, I especially love the Romeo Jacket, a leather bomber with that slightly vintage-inspired Rouje feel. I honestly love so many of their jackets, and several are on my own wishlist for the day I’m ready to invest in a piece like this. From clean suede silhouettes to structured leather jackets and more statement-making shapes, the collection feels incredibly timeless and beautifully considered. These are the kind of pieces I could imagine bringing back out year after year and styling in different ways each season.
