Currently Loving: French Handbag Brands With New Arrivals & Styles That Caught My Eye
With fall officially underway, so many beautiful styles have been catching my eye. Fall has always been my favorite season to dress for, and I especially love the return of rich browns, soft suede, beautiful textures, and seeing how different brands interpret these seasonal favorites in their own way.
For this week’s favorites, I wanted to share a selection of French handbags I’ve personally been loving lately. Some are new arrivals from brands you may already know, while others are styles I’ve recently discovered or pieces that have quietly made their way onto my wishlist.
What I love most about this time of year is how much variety there is within the season. From softer, more relaxed silhouettes to structured everyday bags and deeper fall colorways, there are so many beautiful options depending on your personal style and how you like to wear your handbags.
Below, I’m sharing the pieces that stood out to me most, along with a few notes on what caught my eye about each one. Whether you’re looking for a new everyday bag, a seasonal update, or simply a little inspiration, I hope you find something worth saving for later!
FANE is a Paris-based handbag brand founded in 2020 by Laurie-Anne Braun and Margot Baudequin. The brand focuses on quiet, minimalist designs crafted in Italy, with refined silhouettes, beautiful leathers, and little to no visible hardware or exterior branding. I especially love the very thin straps and understated shapes, which give the bags such a polished, modern feel.
Styles I’m Loving
Bra Bag: This is the style that first put FANE on my radar. I love the ultra-slim silhouette and delicate ribbon-like strap. It feels like the perfect date-night or evening bag when you only need to carry a few essentials.
Mie: A mini box-style bag with exaggeratedly long straps. I love how simple the shape is while still feeling distinctive and a little unexpected.
Pli: One of the brand’s newer styles and such an interesting take on an everyday tote. It fits a 13-inch laptop but keeps a refined silhouette, with a base that unfolds as the bag fills to create a more sculptural shape.
Lisse: Another favorite for its clean tote shape and long, thin straps. It feels practical but still incredibly minimal and elevated.
If you love minimalist, chic handbags with a slightly architectural feel, FANE is definitely a French brand to have on your radar. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more from them.
Le Tanneur is no stranger here, and it’s a brand I continue to come back to season after season. Founded in 1898, the French leather goods house has more than a century of savoir-faire behind its handbags and accessories, which is part of what makes the brand feel so rooted in traditional French craftsmanship.
I personally own two of their handbags, and both have become some of my favorites in my collection. The quality and craftsmanship have been exceptional, and I love how the brand balances its heritage with silhouettes that still feel fresh and modern.

Styles I’m Loving
Emie Large Shoulder Bag in Mock Croc Suede Split Leather: Le Tanneur recently introduced a beautiful embossed suede collection for fall, and this rich chocolate brown immediately caught my eye. I love the texture and depth of the mock-croc finish, especially paired with the Emie’s relaxed shoulder-bag silhouette.
Aurore & Juliette: Both are also available in the new embossed suede, and I love seeing how the finish transforms each silhouette. The deep brown feels especially beautiful for fall and adds a little more interest while still remaining incredibly wearable.
Apolline: One of the brand’s newest silhouettes, and a style I was immediately drawn to. I especially love the bowling-bag and document-bag formats. They feel polished and structured without being overly formal.
Celeste Small: You may already be familiar with the Celeste, but Le Tanneur has now introduced a smaller version that I’m also loving. It keeps the soft, elegant shape of the original in a more compact size.

Founded in Paris in 2016 by three siblings, Polène has become known for its sculptural approach to leather goods, combining minimalist design with organic curves, folds, and distinctive silhouettes. The bags are designed in Paris and crafted by artisans in Ubrique, Spain.
Polène is another French handbag brand I’ve followed for years, and one I personally own in my collection. I purchased the Cyme Mini during my trip to Paris and absolutely love it. I especially love how recognizable Polène’s designs are without relying heavily on logos, which is one of the reasons I always look forward to seeing what the brand releases next.
Style I’m Loving
Boky: Polène recently introduced the Boky, a new silhouette inspired by the form of a book, with layered folds that give the bag its sculptural shape. I love how clean and distinctive it feels while still looking incredibly wearable for everyday. The different colorways are beautiful too, and I can easily see this becoming another signature style for the brand.

Fleuron is a Parisian leather goods brand built around refined, understated design and a more timeless approach to handbags. Each collection is imagined in Paris and handcrafted in Italy, with an emphasis on clean lines, thoughtful details, and beautiful leathers sourced from Italian and Spanish tanneries.

Styles I’m Loving
Bean & Mini Bean: Fleuron recently introduced the Bean, a new silhouette defined by soft curves and an organic, sculptural shape created through the folds of the leather. It comes in both the original Bean and a smaller Mini Bean version, and I love how modern yet effortless the design feels. The removable strap also gives you the option to wear it on the shoulder or crossbody, making it an easy style for everyday.
I especially love seeing Fleuron continue to explore more sculptural silhouettes while staying true to the quiet, refined aesthetic that makes the brand so recognizable.
Founded in Paris in 1987 by Jean Touitou, A.P.C. has become known for its understated approach to French style, with an emphasis on simplicity, quality, and pieces designed to last beyond a single season. The name stands for Atelier de Production et de Création, and that balance between thoughtful design and everyday wearability is very much at the heart of the brand.
I’ve always loved A.P.C.’s clean, refined approach. The silhouettes are timeless, the branding is discreet, and the pieces have an effortless quality that makes them easy to incorporate into a wardrobe.
Styles I’m Loving
Simone & Simone Small: A.P.C. recently introduced the Simone, a sleek new silhouette with a longer, flatter shape and simple gold-tone clasp. It comes in both the original Simone and a smaller version, and I love how polished and timeless both feel. The adjustable strap allows the bag to be worn over the shoulder or crossbody, and I can easily picture either styled with a trench coat or knit dress this fall, while still feeling classic enough to carry year-round.
If you gravitate toward understated handbags with a polished, timeless feel, the Simone is such a beautiful new style to have on your radar.
Founded in 2018 by two brothers with a shared passion for design and architecture, Ateliers Auguste is a Parisian handbag brand known for clean lines, structured silhouettes, and a minimalist approach to leather goods. The collections are designed in Paris, often drawing inspiration from architecture, and each bag is handcrafted in Italy using leather from Italian tanneries.
Ateliers Auguste is also one of my personal favorite handbag brands. I own both the Mini Marly and the Monceau Baguette, and they are easily two of the most-used bags in my collection. Styles I’m Loving:
Mini Sévigné: Ateliers Auguste recently introduced a smaller version of its Sévigné tote, and I love the proportions of this new size. It keeps the structured, polished feel of the original in a more compact silhouette, and the new taupe and tan colorways feel especially beautiful for fall.
Passy: I’ve loved the Passy since it was first introduced, and the newest colorways have brought it right back onto my wishlist. The taupe smooth leather and rich brown tones are exactly the kind of neutrals I gravitate toward, especially this time of year.
I also had the opportunity to visit the Ateliers Auguste flagship boutique in Le Marais during my trip to Paris, and it’s one I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the city. Final Thoughts
There have been so many beautiful handbag launches and new additions to discover this season, but these are the styles that have been standing out to me most this week. I’ve especially been drawn to rich fall neutrals, understated silhouettes, beautiful textures, and thoughtful details that make each piece feel distinctive.
From brands I’ve loved and worn for years to newer names that have recently made their way onto my radar, this week’s selection brings together a mix of styles I’m genuinely excited about and would happily add to my own collection.
